The highest ever measured visibility (image contrast) at an X-ray tube source was now measured with a so called "sun ray"-grating. By using a "sun ray"-grating as
G0 and G2 and an ideal line grating as G1 the visibility in an X-ray tube setup at TU Munich has been doubled. Visibility is a measure for the contrast and has a large influence on the image noise and so on the image quality and the necessary irradiation dose in the sample.
